Factory Design Labs was approached by Volkswagen to help design their first app to connect the car to whatever device the owner was on. In today's world this seems so obvious, but back when we pitched this work there wasn't an app like this on the market.
Create a responsive experience that connects an owner to their car. From locking and unlocking car doors, turning on lights, setting speed limits, and getting full car history reports — all within the app.
While this little guy didn't win out in a pitch or ever get developed, we sure had a grand time envisioning ourselves flashing lights from afar on unsuspecting passersby.
