Spark Grills is a startup in Boulder, CO that is setting out to make charcoal grilling more flavorful, easier to use, and more beautiful than ever. I was brought in to design a companion mobile app that paired with the grill and allowed the user to control temp, set timers, and stock up on more charcoal briqs.
Much like the grill, I was tasked with making an experience that pushed beyond the expected norms of the grilling category. This grill was designed as a tool to enable creative, and expressive cooking — the app had to reflect that essence.
The app launched along side the new grill and has allowed chefs and enthusiast to connect with their grill in a whole new way.
